Welcome,
This is my beginning, my middle, my end.
I’ve been stuck on the idea of time and memory. Time being defined through change, and memory being defined as the brain's ability to recall and relive past experiences. How do they collide? We exchange and share when change occurs. As we are in the same place and same time, we now share this moment with each other. These days will pass regardless if you are aware of time.

Enjoy the memories I remember in this lifetime.

With love,
kiara
Artist Statement
My work contains many dimensions of memory. I am often in search of new ways to access our memory (or the things we don’t tell ourselves, our parents, our loved ones, or to the sky). My work is influenced by being stuck in time and tending to old selves [past selves]. The collective memory that is shared through one another can live for years longer than us, we can relive this memory with the collision of time and sharing. I’m interested in the body as a being by itself… where we store our muscle memory. I want to know why I can remember an entire number that I performed 8 years ago so easily and not know what’s happening in my present body now. I plan to find answers through collaboration with old friends, loved ones, letters, spaces that hold me: us.
